Cold Insulation Insulation Systems
The term cold insulation describes the isolation of environments with temperatures between –200oC and +40oC using various methods. The main cold insulation application areas can be listed as petrochemistry, chemistry, frozen food, oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, LNG facilities pipes and equipment, and carbon dioxide, ammonia, nitrogen storage and transport tanks.
ARMAFLEX can be used for equipment at temperatures as low as +800C. It is also an elastomeric rubber-based, closed-pore, regular cell structure pipe-shaped insulation material produced for use in cooling systems up to +10C.
It is applied for thermal insulation and condensation control on the outer surfaces of pipelines in heating, cooling, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Polyurethane Injection System
Tanks, pipes, surfaces, etc., which generally operate at -45 °C to + 90 °C in indoor and outdoor environments. It is an ideal method used in thermal insulation of areas.
In the polyurethane injection system, an outer jacket is first applied to the surface to be insulated, and rigid polyurethane, which is widely used as a thermal insulation material, is injected between the outer jacket and the surface. The outer jacket and polyurethane form an integrity and provide additional protection to the applied surface. Thanks to the monoblock body obtained during this application, thermal bridges and heat transfers that may occur are prevented. In such monoblock bodies, polyurethane adheres strongly to the application surface, thus preventing the surface from contact with air and corrosion. Additionally, it provides additional resistance against external mechanical impacts. Therefore, insulation using polyurethane creates a structure that is more resistant to various external factors than insulation using other similar products.
Glass Foam Insulation Application
It is the most ideal method for the insulation of lines requiring cold insulation in facilities such as petrochemical, chemical, oxygen and LNG operating at -200 °C to + 400 °C.
In surface applications, it is plate, and in pipe insulation applications, it consists of two parts produced in all diameters and standard insulation thicknesses. Glass foam is mounted on the pipe or surface using special materials and adhesives. Vapor barrier is provided by covering the mounted glass foam with special mastics and auxiliary materials. In order to protect the insulation material against negative factors from the external environment, the insulation is completed by applying external coating material.
Elastomeric Rubber Foam Insulation Application
It is used in the insulation of air conditioning installations and ventilation ducts. It can be used between -60 °C and +100 °C. It is synthetic rubber based, produced in the form of pipes and sheets, and has a flexible structure. Thanks to its closed-pore cell structure, it is resistant to water and steam. After the pipes and surface areas to be insulated are coated with elastomeric rubber, aluminum, stainless or PVC etc. are used to protect them from external factors. It is covered with coating materials.
Hot Insulation Insulation Systems
Hot insulation defines the isolation of environments with temperatures between +40oC and +1250oC in process equipment, on all surfaces with high temperatures such as steam, condensate and hot oil lines, for important situations such as energy saving, occupational health safety and fire safety.
Thanks to the flame retardant feature of hot insulation equipment, it makes it possible to use it in heat, sound and fire insulation of places with very high temperatures.
In hot insulation applications, considering factors such as surface width, fluid temperature and whether the systems such as pipes, surfaces and tanks to be insulated are exposed to indoor or outdoor weather conditions, materials such as glass wool, rock wool, ceramic wool, glass foam, polyurethane, elastomeric rubber are used depending on the usage area. The most suitable product is selected.
The insulated outer surfaces of surfaces such as pipes, tanks and equipment are coated with coatings such as aluminum, stainless, galvanized, aluzinc and PVC to provide strength and vapor resistance to the system.
Hot insulation application, thermal power plant insulation, natural gas conversion plant insulation, cement production facility insulation, glass production facilities, chemical production facilities, food production facilities, cooling towers, heating-drying ovens, hot oil installations, steam boilers and installations, walls It is an ideal system for floor and roof surfaces and situations where special thermal insulation is required.
Solid Mekanik aims to reduce energy losses to near zero, based on the cost-benefit principle in all applications it carries out. It pays attention to ensure that the equipment, chemicals and methods it uses during its activities are in harmony with the environment.
